The Short Version
Ex-corporate. Therapist. Self-proclaimed professional thinker.
I worked with numbers, processes, and systems before eventually stepping into therapy. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy making sense of complicated things, mapping out ideas, and figuring out strategies. Except these days, it’s people over spreadsheets.
The Lens
Person-centred · Internal Family Systems (IFS) · Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (CTRT)
Let me plant this seed in your head: What if different parts of you exist?
Some are louder than others. Some say yes, while others really want to say no. One feels confident, while another second-guesses everything. Sometimes, these parts just can't seem to agree, even to disagree.
In therapy, we can get curious about these internal dynamics, how they show up in the world, explore what might be possible, and find ways forward that fit where we are now.
In The Room
I don't have a script for how therapy should look. So, you get to decide how far we go and at what pace: going deep, laughing at the absurdity of being human, or simply pausing to declutter your mind. Your everyday life remains at the heart of the work.
We all have a life to live beyond therapy, and it is already tough enough. We can take the work seriously without being too hard on ourselves.
You Might Notice Me Doing This In The Room
I may, weirdly and casually, ask you to practise active listening... on yourself. Yes, with yourself. I may also ask you to give yourself names.
I have a soft spot for corporate jargon and spreadsheets. I search for a whiteboard mid-session to draw maps, arrows, and diagrams to structure my brain. After admiring our ‘artwork’, I may clap when you connect the dots. I’ll sometimes proudly ask if you want a picture of it as a commemoration.
I laugh at your jokes, but remind myself we need to focus. Good news: my eyes light up when I hear “idk” and “not sure”.
Outside The Room
Can’t live without a beverage, people-watching, experimenting with food recipes, perfecting latte art and matcha microfoam, creating systems unnecessarily, and being physically active when the stars align.
